How to Request a Supplement OEM Quote: The 8-Point Buyer Checklist

Most quote delays are not the factory's fault. They happen because the buyer's first message is missing the two or three facts a manufacturer needs to price anything: the market, the format and the volume. Send the eight items below and you will get line-item pricing back in hours instead of a "please share more details" loop.

The 8-point checklist

1. Target market (or markets). The US, EU, UK and GCC all play by different claim and dose rules. This single fact decides which formula is even quotable — a 5 mg melatonin gummy is a standard US SKU and a non-starter in several EU markets.

2. Dosage form. Gummies, capsules, stick packs, softgels, effervescent, herbal tea — each has its own production line, MOQ structure and lead time. "Flexible" is a fine answer, but pick a lead format for the first quote.

3. Formula status. Three honest options: ready formula (you have a spec — private label pricing applies), reference product (you like something on the market — we reverse-engineer a compliant match), or concept only (ODM formulation from scratch). Each is a different quoting path, and none is a problem — just say which one you are.

4. Actives and dose per serving. Even rough ("around 2,000 mg collagen + 500 mg glucosamine per serving") narrows cost bands dramatically. If you only have a marketing concept, name the claim you want to make and we'll propose the actives.

5. Packaging direction. Bottle count (30/60/90), stick-pack grams, jar vs sachet, your artwork status: print-ready files, a designer on the case, or need us to handle it. Packaging is frequently half of the unit cost — leaving it undefined makes any quote guesswork.

6. First order quantity + annual estimate. Quote one number, plan with the other. Trial runs from 5,000 units (gummies) or 10,000 sticks exist precisely so you can validate before scaling — knowing your year-two volume lets us price the trajectory, not just the first PO.

7. Timeline. Sampling date, launch date, any retail or Amazon deadline. Production is typically 25–35 days after artwork approval; a real launch date lets us tell you immediately whether the plan fits.

8. The documents you already have. Formula sheet, label draft, spec sheet, a competitor's product photo — anything on paper. Attaching these is the single biggest accelerator: it moves the conversation from Q&A to line-item quote.

What happens after you send it

Our export team replies within 12 business hours with a line-item quote (formula, format, packaging, MOQ) and, where useful, two or three cheaper/compliant variants of your concept. Pre-production samples ship in 7–10 days. If anything in your brief fails compliance for your market, you'll hear it in the first reply — with the fix, not just the refusal.

Our quote form now accepts attachments (PDF, Word, Excel or image, up to 5 MB) — point 8 just became a drag-and-drop.
